About Solar Sheep lLC
Solar Sheep LLC came into existence in 2014. This is a very forward thinking endeavor.
The goal is to use sheep as primary landscape maintenance in solar fields.
Using sheep to maintain the vegetation in and around a solar array is an ideal opportunity
to make a green initiative even more sustainable and economical .
The existing grasses provide the ideal pasture habitat in which the sheep can forage while the solar
panels provide a nearly inexhaustible source of shelter and shade for the sheep.
There are additional environmental and economic benefits of grazing.
Using sheep instead of mowing will continue to reduce the carbon footprint of generating power by
further decreasing the dependence on fossil fuels and will significantly
reduce maintenance hours at a site.
